A book requires a minimum of 18 “entries”. Each question is one entry, so you can answer a minimum of 18 questions. If you want to add a blank page with your own text, this also counts as an entry. A quote or poem also counts as an entry. If your entry takes up more than one page, it still counts as one entry.

Of course! But remember, our books are “relationship books” – we want you to focus on communicating your true thoughts and feelings about your loved one. Lots of people start photo books at other sites, but very few people ever finish them, as they are extremely time consuming. We offer a simple, classy book that expresses – with words – your feelings about the person for which you are creating the book.
Keep in mind that we use a high quality book paper and not glossy photo paper. Our paper is an elegant birch color with natural fibers.
Be sure your photo resolution and positioning is good. We don’t enhance, remove red-eye, or in any way modify the image(s). Portrait orientation works better than landscape orientation.
Unfortunately, we do not offer this. There is no additional embossing on the covers so it is important that you type the name of the person for whom the book is for on the dedication page (the first page in your book).
Yes! Our site allows you to create multiple books – for example, you could be working on one for your mom for her upcoming birthday and your spouse for your upcoming anniversary. When you log into your account, you can select “Start New Book”. When you log in to our site, you can choose which book you would like to work on at any given time.
Once you have submitted your online book for editing, we usually have it reviewed and sent back to you for your approval within 2-24 hours. You will get an auto-generated email alerting you that your edited copy is waiting for your approval. If you do not get this email, be sure to check your spam/promotions email folder. You can also log in at anytime to view the status of your order and see if the editing process has been completed.
Not unless you choose to have your book professionally proofed by one of our editors to look for spelling, punctuation and basic grammatical errors. There is a $10 USD fee for this service. If you choose to have an editor review your book, you will have the opportunity to review and approve all suggested changes BEFORE we print your book. Once you have approved the final version, your book is printed and mailed.
If you pay to have your book professionally edited, keep in mind that our editors do their best to locate spelling and grammatical errors, but YOU are responsible for approving the finished product BEFORE publishing. Heartfelt Books accepts no responsibility for the quality of the content (including misspelled words, grammatical errors, etc.). You, as the author, approve the visual presentation and content of each item before committing to publish the book.
The book is approximately 5.5 x 8.5 inches. Or 14 x 22 centimeters.
If you answer the minimum number of questions (18), you will have 35-36 pages in your book. Your answers will be on the right side pages and the left pages will have a decorative motif added. If you choose to answer more than the minimum number of questions, your answers will be added to left hand pages, with the decorative motif appearing less and less as you answer more questions. The maximum number of pages a book can have is 44 pages (this is due to the width of the book spine).
Absolutely. When you are previewing your book – just above the preview, you will see a button that says “Reorder Pages”. When clicked, your pages will be listed in their current order. To move a page, click the icon to the left of the page you want to move, then drag and drop it where you want it. Be sure to click SAVE when you have made all of your changes.
If you have any difficulties at all, you can also type your instructions for page changes in the box just below your book preview and we will make them prior to printing. If you want to see a another proof before we print, please check the box below your instructions requesting an additional preview. We will send you an email letting you know your book is ready to review and approve before we print. This way your book is EXACTLY how you want it.
For orders outside the USA (non APO destinations), we make sure that our questions are typed using British spellings. For example, we change favorite to favourite, realize to realise, etc. Also, if you select that you want your book professionally edited, we will edit the book with British spellings.
Absolutely. Once you answer the minimum number of questions (18), you will be given the option to Publish/Preview your book. Once you press this option, you will be able to preview your book pages before entering any payment information. You can also specify any corrections you want made, changes to the page order, etc.
That all depends on you – some people complete their book in less than half an hour! Some people take 3 days, 3 months – you can come back at any time to complete your book. You get to pick the questions that you want to answer. Some questions take longer than others to answer.
